power plants wasting our water?

We all know that there is tons of fresh water on this earth but who or shall I say what is using the most? Power plants. They are using 136 billion gallons of FRESH water every DAY to cool down their plants! now all that could be used for people to drink! Think if we used renewable energy then we wouldn't have to cool down our plants! We could actually stop using nonrenewable energy all together if we had renewable energy power plants we could still give out that energy. We wouldn't need to use that water because solar panels don't generate heat, neither does wind and hydroelectric types of renewable energy. So now we could use all that water for people who are dehydrated. We could let a lot more people live and not have them suffer! Don't you hate seeing those poor kids suffer! So no more nonrenewable energy!

Solar energy

Solar energy started out in the 1800's with a simple idea, now it's real life. But the thing is not many people are willing to actually try is out and use it. If only 50 houses started using solar energy we could make a huge difference. Did you know that if we harnessed 1% of the suns energy the earth would be set for 9 million years! And the thing is with that is it's clean energy, there will be no pollution and the world would clean itself up! Also we could save the polar bears! we actually arnt harnessing that much, having an educated guess we probably are only harnessing .0000001% of the suns energy, that's not very much! so what would happen if we used 1% of the suns energy? And would you Start using renewable energy now that you know all this?
